Drying coatings on wood and MDF is a very common process that we have experienced; varnish, laquer, liquid paint, stains and more recently curing powder coatings. With the advent of super low temperature powders, powder coating on wood has become an attractive, economical and long-lasting coating for furniture and cased goods. Laminating wood cores with melamine and plastics are other common applications of wood and MDF in manufacturing. With any heat-sensitive substrate, control and the ability to get a part to temperature fast are imperative to not ruining the product.
